Ignite Group’s Subsidie Administratie Systeem keeps grants, documents, deadlines and reporting in one place, but the legacy codebase slowed development down. Isatis rebuilt the platform on a modern technology stack, keeping the proven domain logic and opening it up for integration.

01

Challenge

Ignite Group’s Subsidie Administratie Systeem helps organizations manage incoming grants and subsidies. The platform keeps subsidy information, documents, deadlines, dashboards, reporting, and process monitoring in one system.

The existing software had been built by another party. It worked, but the legacy codebase slowed down further development. New features, integrations, and maintenance took more effort than necessary, while the product still had to support a business-critical process: giving clients reliable insight into subsidy applications, awarded subsidies, project status, documents, tasks, and reporting.

Ignite Group needed a modern technical foundation for SAS while keeping the domain logic already built into the existing system.

02

Implementation

Isatis rebuilt the application from the legacy codebase using a modern technology stack. The rewrite kept the proven functionality of the existing product and made the platform easier to maintain, extend, and integrate.

The new version was connected to available modules and surrounding systems, allowing SAS to operate as part of a broader digital environment instead of as a standalone application.

  • Rebuild on a modern technology stack, keeping the proven domain logic
  • Dashboards, document storage, task flows, reporting and authentication carried forward
  • External integrations continued on a cleaner architecture
  • Connected to available modules and surrounding systems
  • AI-supported legacy analysis and implementation, validated by developers

AI-supported development helped speed up parts of the rewrite, including legacy-code analysis, translation of existing behavior, and implementation work. Developers remained responsible for the architecture, validation, and delivery quality.

03

Result

Ignite Group received a modernized SAS platform in a short time frame. The system kept the core functionality users depended on and now runs on a more current, maintainable technical base.

The rewrite gives Ignite Group more room to improve the product, connect it with other modules and systems, and respond faster to future requirements. For end users, SAS remains a central place to manage incoming subsidies, track deadlines, store documents, monitor project status, and produce management information when needed.

The project turned a legacy application into a product that is easier to maintain, easier to integrate, and better prepared for continued development.
